We treat our bulk road salt with a proprietary blend of hot liquid chlorides, organic additives, and blue color. This allows the salt to perform during the most extreme weather conditions. Bulk Treated Salt is effective at melting ice and snow at -20 degrees. Our organic additives produce residual melting power that stays on the ground’s surface even after the ice, snow, and salt are gone. When the next ice or snow event starts, the residual is activated and begins making brine and working to reduce ice or snow pack even before road crews are on their routes.
